<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a full-color electrophoretic display device with cell structure with high reliability and capable of full-color display, which can provide excellent long-term display while minimizing the precipitation of an electrophoretic particle, and a manufacturing method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophoretic display device includes an element substrate 30 and a counter substrate 31 disposed to face each other, a barrier wall 45 disposed between the element substrate 30 and the counter substrate 31 and sectioning a pixel region, and an electrophoretic material sealed in a plurality of cells 51 surrounded by at least the element substrate 30, the counter substrate 31, and the barrier wall 45.
