<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable stopper which is capable of improving operability, reliability, economical efficiency and separate refining efficiency of liquid chromatography, and a chromatographic column with the movable stopper. <P>SOLUTION: A movable stopper 10 comprises a movable stopper core 20, an annular scraper 30, a base 40 having a recess 41 in which a proximal end side of the movable stopper core 20 is fitted, an O-ring (scraper pressing means) 50 provided between the scraper 30 and the base 40, an annular seal member 52 externally fitted to the O-ring 50, and a bolt 60 attracting the movable stopper core 20, in which the scraper 30 is engaged to a flange portion 22 of the movable stopper core. Tapered faces 31 and 22a are provided in the scraper 30 and the flange portion 22 of the movable stopper core 20.
