<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent applying device for glass filaments in which the positions of applying rollers can be fine adjusted with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The sizing agent applying device 5 of a fiber producing apparatus 1 is installed in the fiber producing apparatus 1 for producing strands S by drawing a large number of molten filaments f from a large number of nozzles formed in a bushing and bundling the filaments f with a plurality of bundling rollers 6a so as to form a plurality of filament groups F, wherein the device 5 applies a sizing agent to the filaments f on the bushing side of the bundling rollers 6a. The device 5 includes: a plurality of sizing agent applying rollers 14 which are fitted to a common roller shaft 13 at intervals in the axial direction and apply the sizing agent to the plurality of filament groups F, respectively; a plurality of sizing agent supply trays 16 which store the sizing agent and are disposed so that the sizing agent can be applied to outer circumferential surfaces of the respective sizing agent applying rollers 14; and a common recovery tray 17 disposed under the plurality of sizing agent supply trays 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
