<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a luffing jib for a crawler crane, which eliminates the need of the up/down confirmation to determine which of the belly side or the back side of the luffing jib is to be faced up when the luffing jib is attached to the top of a boom in the assembling work after the crawler crane is transported, to facilitate and speed up the assembling work. <P>SOLUTION: The base end of the boom 7 is mounted movable in the vertical direction at the front of an upper rotating body 4, and the base end of the luffing jib 9 is connected to the top of the boom to be moved freely in the vertical direction.
