<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block puzzle which can be carried around by being put into a pocket etc., and extended by combining a plurality of plate bases 3 as necessary. <P>SOLUTION: This puzzle is played by using: the plate bases 3 having a large number of protrusions 7 on the top surfaces and double-stage structures where the center parts are one stage higher than the other four peripheral parts; recessed blocks 2 having flat top surfaces and recesses 8 which are formed at least in a two-row and two-column arrangement on the bottom surfaces; and recessed/protruded blocks 4 having the protrusions 7 which are formed at least in a two-row and two-column arrangement on the top surfaces and recesses 8 which are formed at least in a two-row and two-column arrangement on the bottom surfaces. The plurality of plate bases 3 can be combined by allowing the protrusions 7 to fit in the recesses 8 of the recessed blocks 2 or the recessed/protruded blocks 4.
