<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean a filter for air-conditioner, the filter having improved foreign matter-catching performance. <P>SOLUTION: A filter-cleaning device has cleaning stages 4a, 4b, 4c respectively including: a roller conveyer 9; cleaning liquid-spraying nozzles 50a to 50f, each for spraying a cleaning liquid to the filter 2 being conveyed on the roller conveyer 9; and high-pressure gas-jetting nozzles 60a to 60c each for jetting a high-pressure gas to the filter 2; recovery tanks 72a to 72c for collecting the sprayed liquids 17a to 17c, respectively; and circulation systems for circulating the cleaning liquids to the liquid-spraying nozzles 50a to 50f. A fresh cleaning liquid-jetting nozzle 50g is arranged in the cleaning stage 4c as a finely cleaning stage, and the finely cleaning stage 4c and the cleaning stage 4b as a roughly cleaning stage respectively include transfer systems which sequentially transfer, toward upstream sides in a filter-conveying direction, the cleaning liquid from recovery tanks 72c, 72b to recovery tanks 72b, 72a, respectively.
