METHOD FOR RENOVATING FLOOR DRAINS

The invention relates to a method for renovating floor drains (1), said drains having a cup element (2) which is provided with an internal inclined partition (3) establishing a water/odor trap in a lower section of the floor drain. The method comprises removing said partition (3) substantially completely such that an upper section of the cup element is left with an integral bearing surface (5). The floor drain is cleaned and coated with an appropriate coating (6). The floor drain is fitted with an adaption ring (7) in support of said bearing surface (5), said adaption ring allowing the floor drain to have installed therein an internal element (8) establishing a separate water/odor trap.
