<p>An objective of the present invention is to effect protection of trace data and regular processing data, and reduction of trace data volumes, in a data trace in an information processing device while the information processing device is running. When a trace condition is established in step 502, the information processing device transitions to trace mode. In step 5033, the information processing device reads data which is created in regular operation processing mode, saves the data in a trace memory region, and thereafter restores the regular processing mode. While the trace mode has permission to read all of the data, the trace mode has write permission only for the trace memory region, and normal mode has no permission for the trace memory region. The trace condition in step 502 for a fault on an I/O device is treated as the activation time of the I/O device exceeding a designated upper bound time. The time whereupon the condition is established and thereafter is a branch instruction execution time and an I/O device access instruction execution time for the program trace.</p> |
