PURPOSE: An image processing device, an image processing method, and a program thereof are provided to generate an image with high quality whose sawteeth are reduced using a weighting/adding unit. CONSTITUTION: An image estimating unit(102) estimates an image before sawtooth occuring in an image with sawteeth. A weighting/adding unit(103) selects an area where sawteeth occur as a processed area in an image estimated before the sawtooth occurring. The weighting/adding unit detects a similar area which is a pixel area similar to the processed area. The weighting/adding unit calculates a weighted value according to similarity of the similar area.
