PURPOSE: An orgal pharmaceutical composition containing metformin and rosuvastatin is provided to treat and prevent hyperlipidemia and to improve drug compliance and convenience. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia with suppressed side effects contains: therapeutically effective amount of metformin or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and therapeutically effectively amount of rosuvastatin or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia contains: therapeutically effective amount of metformin or pharmaceutically acceptable salt; a sustained release carrier; therapeutically effective amount of losuvastain or pharmaceutically acceptable salt; and excipients.
