PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing black pigment for make-up eye lashes or nail is provided to improve visual effect and to express deep and luster color. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains spherical particles containing amorphous silica matrix in which carbon black powder is capsulated. The particle is dispersed in a cosmetologically acceptable transparent or semi-transparent medium. The composition is manufactured in a mascara or lip stick. The composition contains one or more film-forming formulations. A method for makeup or skin care comprises a step of applying the cosmetic composition to the skin.
