SIDE FACE TYPE BACKLIGHT UNIT HAVING SPLIT BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENT FUNCTION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side face type backlight unit capable of adjusting split brightness through adjustment of distances between a light guide plate and a plurality of optical systems arranged at a lower part of the light guide plate.

SOLUTION: The side face type backlight unit having a split brightness adjustment function includes the light guide plate for guiding light being incident from a light source, and a brightness adjustment section having the plurality of optical systems for making light guided with the light guide plate emit to a liquid crystal panel by reflecting the light guided with the light guide plate and adjusting brightness by respectively adjusting reflection factors of the plurality of optical systems by means of image signals input.
