<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase drawing speed when displaying a document where pictographs and characters are mixed. <P>SOLUTION: A character display device 1 for displaying a document where pictographs and characters are mixed comprises: a retrieval means 101 for retrieving an appearance position of the pictograph in the document; count means 100 to 102 for counting number of characters consecutively appearing before the appearance position of the pictographs retrieved by the retrieval means; and drawing means 12, 100 to 102, and 104 which, after setting a common attribute of the consecutively appearing characters counted by the count means, draw these characters by the number of characters, and then after setting an attribute of the pictograph draw the pictograph. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
