<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient laser processing method capable of executing laser ablation of a hard-to-work material such as a fiber reinforced composite material or the like, and realizing the industrially satisfactory processing speed, and to provide a laser processing apparatus used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: In the laser removing operation for removing a laser beam irradiation part by irradiating, with laser beam, a surface of a workpiece consisting of a fiber-reinforced composite material or an inorganic material which is hardly machine-cut, a removing means for removing decomposition products generated by laser beam irradiation simultaneously with the laser beam irradiation is used.
