<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle exhaust heat recovery system capable of efficiently recovering exhaust heat energy as compared with prior proposals. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle exhaust heat recovery system, a thermoacoustic electric power generator 12 amplifying a wave of a compressional wave given to gas by an oscillator 2 using a temperature gradient and generating electric power by the wave of the amplified compressional wave using an electric power generator 3 is mounted on a vehicle, and the thermoacoustic electric power generator 12 utilizes cooling water 10 of a vehicle engine 13 as a cooling medium necessary for applying the temperature gradient to the gas and uses exhaust gas (EGR gas 11') of the engine 13 as a heat medium.
