<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a full length in a displacement detection apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A displacement detection apparatus 1 comprises a detection coil 2, a deformable displacing body 3 which is provided to be displaced with respect to the detection coil 2, a displacement extraction unit 5 which displaces the displacing body 3 by displacement upon receiving operation from the outside, and take-up units 4a and 4b which deform and displace at least a part of the displacing body 3 on a curve trajectory when the displacing body 3 is displaced by the displacement extraction unit 5. When the displacing body 3 is displaced by the displacement extraction unit 5, the take-up units 4a and 4b deform at least a part of the displacing body by taking up at least a part of the displacing body 3, to thereby displace the displacing body 3 on the curve trajectory. When being displaced by the displacement extraction unit 5, the displacing body 3 is taken up by the take-up unit 4a and fed out of the take-up unit 4b or taken up by the take-up unit 4b and fed out of the take-up unit 4a.
