FLUORESCENT SEMICONDUCTOR PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fluorescent semiconductor particles which efficiently absorb light and emit the light.

SOLUTION: In the fluorescent semiconductor particles, a dye having an absorption peak in an absorption wavelength region corresponding to the light-emitting wavelength of a non-toxic semiconductor quantum dot is adsorbed to the semiconductor quantum dot which is excited by light and emits the light. It is preferable that the semiconductor quantum dot is indium phosphide and particles having a shell of zinc sulfide with the indium phosphide as a core, and that the dye has J aggregates formed on the surface of the semiconductor quantum dot.
