<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a spectacle lens having a high-durability hydrophilic film. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a spectacle lens in which an anti-fog layer is provided on a lens base material having an inorganic antireflection film with an SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>layer formed on the outermost surface of the lens base material includes the following steps of: processing the SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>layer of the inorganic antireflection film by a process liquid containing an inorganic alkali; and then forming a hydrophilic film.
