<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of precisely aligning a collimator lens with an optical fiber without requiring a complicated assembly process. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector includes: a metal holding member 11 whose one end is provided with a storage part for accommodating a collimator lens 12 and whose other end is provided with an insertion hole into which an optical fiber 13 is inserted; a resin joint 14 whose one end is provided with a first insertion hole into which the holding member 11 is inserted and whose other end is provided with a second insertion hole into which the optical fiber 13 is inserted; and a chuck 15 having a grip part of the optical fiber 13 and being inserted into the through-hole of the resin joint 14. Positioning is performed by bringing the collimator lens 12 and at least one of the end faces of the optical fiber 13 in contact with a depressed part formed in the vicinity of the storage part of the holding member 11. The optical fiber 13 is fixed by the grip part with the chuck 15 inserted into the through-hole being and subjected to elastic deformation inward in the radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
