<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke device that achieves various controls on karaoke performance according to the voice range of each user. <P>SOLUTION: A karaoke device 16 that outputs a predetermined performance song comprises voice range determination means 90 by which, based on voice information input via a microphone 40 along with the output of the performance song, the voice range of a user, who is the input source of the voice information, is determined. Thus, the voice range of each user can be determined while a karaoke performance is being made, and the determination result can be applied to various controls such as singing evaluation.
