<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid surface level sensor capable of preventing occurrence of ON failure even when a sender arm is disengaged from an insulator. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid surface level sensor 1 includes: a sender arm 2 for supporting a float 6 arranged on a liquid surface; an insulator 3 fixed on the sender arm 2; a contact 4 molded so as to be inserted into the insulator 3; and a conductive segment 5 corresponding to contact points 4a, 4b of the contact 4. The insulator 3 includes a pair of pawl parts 3a externally surrounding the outer peripheral surface of the sender arm 2, a pair of slits 3b located on the rear side of the pair of pawl part 3a, a protrusion 3c located between the pair of slits 3b, and a protruded streak part 3d protruded from the protrusion 3c to the front side. Only when the sender arm 2 is engaged with the insulator 3 by the pawl parts 3a, the protrusion 3c presses the contact 4 to the rear side based on abutting force of the protruded streak part 3d on the sender arm 2, and the contact points 4a, 4b are brought into contact with the conductive segment 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
