The present invention makes it possible to create waveguide plates with different color temperatures simply. An inkjet printer is provided with a white ink supply unit that accommodates ink tanks for each of a plurality of white ink types that determine the color temperature of a light guide plate. One of the ink tanks is connected to each of various recording heads, and each recording head can discharge a type of white ink different from the others. A data table that sets various printing conditions that determine the color temperature of the light guide plate is provided. The printer is driven based on selected printing conditions, which are based on the data table, and a light guide plate provided with a color temperature corresponding to the printing conditions selected by combining one or a plurality of types of white ink by performing reflective printing on the light guide plate.
