PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system capable of compatibly achieving fewer operations and high security.

SOLUTION: An authentication server includes: means for randomly generating a display keyboard to be displayed to a client; means for generating a transmission matrix which is a matrix respectively corresponding to respective keys of the display keyboard; means for transmitting the display keyboard and the transmission matrix to the client; means for generating a plurality of one-time password candidates which can be adopted by the combination of the respective keys of the display keyboard and the transmission matrix; means for receiving, from the client, a password inputted by pressing the respective keys of the display keyboard in the client as a one-time password converted using the transmission matrix; and means for comparing and collating the received one-time password with the plurality of one-time password candidates.
