<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing fine diamond in which the selective synthesis and the like of spherical polycrystalline diamond being suitable for polishing and the like and having no corner and small variation in a size and needle-like polycrystalline diamond suitable for applications such as various micro sensors and the like are required. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the fine diamond characterized by that an explosive composition containing fullerenes or a tube-like or fiber-like carbon nanostructure having a diameter of 1-100 nm as a carbon raw material is exploded and explosion synthesis is performed and the fine diamond obtained by the method are provided. The obtained fine spherical diamond having a uniform size and a size of 0.01-100 μm is expected as abrasive grains for polishing and the like in precision machining and the needle-like diamond is expected for applications such as various sensors and the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
