<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method of inkjet recording which can efficiently stir ink by specifying time for stirring the ink in an ink tank, while reducing user's stress. <P>SOLUTION: The reciprocation of a carriage causes a stirring operation of stirring the ink in the ink tank to be performed before and after a recording operation.
