<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assist the correction of pixels when correcting the pixels on bone density image that is a subject's image. <P>SOLUTION: When a specified pixel is specified on the subject's image 56 by a user using a cursor 64, correcting assisting information 62 is shown about the pixel (the pixel of interest). Information 64 showing an automatic discriminating result about the pixel of object, a local bone density about the pixel of interest an average bone density 66 about an area including the pixel of interest, a local attenuation quantity and an average attenuation quantity 68 in an area about the pixel of interest when irradiating low energy radiation, a local attenuation quantity and an average attenuation quantity 70 in the area when irradiating high energy X-ray, or others are shown in the correction assisting information 62.
