METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN OPTICAL FILM, POLARIZING PLATE AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an optical film, a polarizing plate, and an image display device are provided to improve quality and to prevent deformity. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic solution which contains active energy ray hardening resin is spread on a base film(11) and a coating layer is formed. Active energy rays are radiated in a both ends region of a direction which is at right angle to a feeding direction of the base film. The width of the both ends region is a range of 100micrometers to 5cm. The active energy rays are radiated on the coating layer from the base film while pressing the surface of a mold onto the surface of the coating layer.
