<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic ink with which printing can be carried out using a piezoelectric print head, which can be safely produced, and which can provide a fast print adaptable to a solvent-type composition. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic ink contains an organic solvent carrier, an optional dispersant, an optional synergistic agent, an optional antioxidant, an optional viscosity controller, an optional coloring agent, an optional binder, and a coated magnetic nanoparticle. The coated magnetic nanoparticle contains a magnetic metal core, and a protecting coating deposited on the magnetic metal core, and are dispersed in the solvent carrier.
