<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a four-way valve improving cooling and heating performance by suppressing the facilitation of heat transfer, effectively shutting off heat transfer and reducing a heat loss. <P>SOLUTION: The four-way valve includes: a housing member 5 having a valve chamber 51; a valve seat 6 having a seat face part 61 provided in the valve chamber; a first flow passage 1 for flowing of high-temperature fluid, a second flow passage 2 for flowing of low-temperature fluid and a third flow passage 3 for flowing of the high-temperature, which have openings 1a, 2a adjoining each other in the seat face part of the valve seat and are led outside the valve chamber while penetrating the valve seat, respectively; and a valve element 7 provided to move relative to the seat face part of the valve seat.
