A character display method and device are disclosed. The method comprises: obtaining the display color value of a character; obtaining the background color value of a character on the basis of the position of the character, and obtaining the difference between the display color value and the background color value; obtaining the outline of the character when the difference is less than the preset threshold; and, displaying the character having the outline. By means of this invention, characters can be displayed clearly against a background without having to change the color of the character or background. |
