<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt suppressing generation of dot defects on a white base even when the belt is used in a low temperature and low humidity environment, and suppressing generation of an image roughening phenomenon even in long-term use, and to provide a method for manufacturing the intermediate transfer belt. <P>SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer belt comprises a polyimide in which a conductive filler is dispersed and is used for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The following polyamic acid is used for the polyimide: the polyamic acid is synthesized by using a diamine containing a hydroxyl group, an aromatic diamine containing no hydroxyl group, and a tetracarboxylic acid in a ratio of 0.85 to 1.20 mol based on 1.00 mol of the total of the above diamines, of a tetracarboxylic acid, with a molar ratio of the diamine containing a hydroxyl group to the aromatic diamine containing no hydroxyl group ranging from 0.10:0.90 to 1.00:0.00 ((diamine containing a hydroxyl group):(aromatic diamine containing no hydroxyl group)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
