<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of, without influencing paper passing, maintaining the excellent image quality, suppressing the increase of product costs, and separating electrostatically attracted paper successfully from a conveyance belt. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 1 conveys a toner image by carrying it thereon. A transfer unit 122 applies a transfer bias of a prescribed power source output value on paper to transfer the toner image on the photoreceptor drum 1 to the paper. A transfer belt 6 conveys the paper having the toner image transferred thereon by electrostatic attraction. A transfer belt separation sensor 124 detects a separation state of the paper from a conveyance end part of the transfer belt 6. A control part determines a separation error of the paper from the transfer belt 6 according to the detection result by the transfer belt separation sensor 124. When determining the occurrence of the separation error of the paper from the transfer belt 6, the control part changes the power source output value of the transfer bias applied to the tip part of the paper by the transfer unit 122. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
