<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft start circuit capable of reducing current consumption after output of a switching power supply device starts up. <P>SOLUTION: A soft start circuit comprises: a soft start generation unit 30 that generates a soft start voltage Vss gradually increasing from 0 V by charging a connected external capacitor Css; a power supply unit 20 that supplies electric power to the soft start generation unit 30; and a power supply determination unit 40 that shuts down the supply of the electric power to the soft start generation unit 30 from the power supply unit 20 by detecting completion of a soft start. After the soft start voltage Vss reaches a reference voltage Vref, the power supply determination unit 40 shuts down the supply of the electric power to the soft start generation unit 30 from the power supply unit 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
