<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of portable communication devices, such as mobile phones, which emit radio waves that, because they have radio communication functions emitting radio waves, although some radio wave unused functions (e.g., audio reproduction or camera photography) are usable, it is necessary to turn their power supply off in an airplane or a hospital. <P>SOLUTION: With a dedicated external apparatus 100 connected, a portable communication apparatus 200 can have its radio communication function turned off and keep the external apparatus 100 connected thereto while it is used.
