This content-processing device: calculates content popularity showing the extent to which content is popular among shared users on the basis of shared user information, social information, and subject information related to a subject in the content; extracts unregistered shared users who are shared users not registered as a subject in the content; calculates content suitability for showing the extent to which content should be shared among shared users, so that a lower value corresponds to content reflecting a higher degree of familiarity between the extracted unregistered shared users and the subject; calculates a content evaluation value from the content popularity and the content suitability; determines a priority level from the calculated content evaluation value; and controls the output of the content in accordance with the priority level.
