PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for providing services in wireless transmission and reception are provided to effectively control various kinds of a wireless service. CONSTITUTION: A registration message creation apparatus creates a registration message. The registration message displays a configuration for enabling a wireless transmission and reception unit to execute communication using an IEEE 802.11x technology. A transmission apparatus transmits the registration message using an IEEE 802.11x WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) in a cellular network when the cellular network is registered. A receiver receives services from the cellular network using the WLAN. The receiver receives services including SMS(Short Message Service) messages.
