The present invention provides a method, an apparatus and a system for forwarding data, applied to a layer 2 virtual private network system, where the layer 2 virtual private network system includes a service provider network edge router PE and a customer edge device CE, and an active PE and a standby PE form a cross-node redundancy group RG. The method includes: automatically establishing a data channel for link protection between the active PE and the standby PE; monitoring a link for current data transmission; and when the link for current data transmission fails, forwarding data through the standby PE and the data channel for link protection. Through the present invention, the link delay can be reduced, and packet loss is prevented. |
