PURPOSE: A clamp tracking-type beveling apparatus is provided to automatically track a surface to be beveled by controlling the moving direction of a metal sheet. CONSTITUTION: A clamp tracking-type beveling apparatus(1) comprises a clamp device(5), an inclined support plate(6), and a surface detection sensor. The clamp device comprises a cutter(4a), and lower and upper wheels(5b,5a). The lower wheel touches the bottom surface(3c) of a metal sheet. The upper and lower wheels clamp the metal sheet. The inclined support plate is installed at the end face(3a) of the metal sheet at a predetermined angle and slidably supports the end face of the metal sheet. The surface detection sensor is installed between the cutter and a rear wheel and automatically stops the metal sheet after the end portion of the metal sheet is beveled.
