<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillatory wave driving device including an oscillator having a plurality of contact parts with a rotary body, in which the rotary body can be rotated around any axis. <P>SOLUTION: An oscillatory wave driving device includes an oscillator having a plurality of contact parts with a rotary body. The oscillator includes: a first electrode group to be supplied with a first driving signal allowing the oscillator to generate a first stationary wave; and a second electrode group and a third electrode group to be supplied with a second driving signal and a third driving signal allowing the oscillator to generate at least two stationary waves to be combined to form a second stationary wave, respectively. An abdomen spatial location phase of the second stationary wave is set by the second and the third driving signals. The first stationary wave is an in-plane vibration stationary wave and the second stationary wave is an out-of-plane vibration stationary wave, or the first stationary wave is an out-of-plane vibration stationary wave and the second stationary wave is an in-plane vibration stationary wave.
