<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing terminal capable of increasing a probability of successful name resolution even when an address of a DNS server is not set within the terminal or when the name cannot be resolved by the DNS server. <P>SOLUTION: A name resolution response section 503 receives a name resolution request transmitted according to LLMNR and determines whether a host name included in the received name resolution request is coincident with a host name of an MFP 104. If the host name included in the name resolution request is not coincident with the host name of the MFP 104, a name resolution request section 505 transmits a name resolution request to a DNS server 102 in accordance with a protocol of DNS and receives from the DNS server 102 a name resolution response including an IP address with respect to the name resolution request.
