<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement routing reflected with traffic regulations of large vehicles even in the case where regulation information regarding the traffic regulations of large vehicles is not included in map data. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation system 1 comprises a VICS data receiving unit 18 which receives VICS data Dv and a routing unit 30 including a search execution section 42 which searches for a guiding route, excluding traffic regulated roads, on the basis of regulation information contained in the VICS data Dv and map data. The navigation system 1 further comprises a large vehicle regulation data storage unit 36 which stores therein beforehand large vehicle regulation data Da of roads to which traffic regulations for large vehicles are set, and a data shaping unit 44 which shapes the large vehicle regulation data Da into a data format common with the data format in processing the regulation information of the VICS data Dv by the search execution section 42. The large vehicle regulation data Da shaped by the data shaping unit 44 are inputted to the search execution section 42, thereby searching for the guiding route excluding the roads where the traffic regulations are set to the large vehicles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
