<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and the like which can reduce mis-operations by a user in a terminal device when the image display device changes a content of an image in response to an instruction from the terminal device to display the changed image. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 100 which is a kind of an image display device includes: a display side image generation unit 160 for generating a first image; a projection unit 190 as a display side display unit for displaying the first image; a display side communication unit 110 for receiving instruction information indicating a content change instruction of the first image from a terminal device; a display side information generation unit 130 for, before displaying a second image which is generated by changing the first image according to the content change instruction, generating preview image information indicating the second image.
