<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle operation support device capable of preventing a vehicle from an accidental contact with an object by determining behavior of the object and surely performing operation support for an operator. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle operation support device: measures a lateral motion speed of an object and wobble repetition frequency which is a number of times that a wobble width of the object exceeds a prescribed value during a prescribed period based on detection information from millimeter wave radar (S10 and S12); when the wobble repetition frequency as well as the lateral motion speed of the object fall in an alarm activation region of a determination map (S14), notifies an operator of an alarm by activating an alarm lamp and a speaker (S20); and when the wobble repetition frequency as well as the lateral motion speed of the object fall in an operation support activation region of the determination map (S16), activates a steering assist as well as a brake operation assist to avoid the object (S18). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
