<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update firmware in a short time while preventing the firmware from operating during rewriting. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing device comprises: flash ROM for storing firmware; a BIOS update tool for storing a ROM image of updated firmware in a first memory area, for comparing the updated firmware stored in the first memory area with firmware before updating stored in the flash ROM by each module to extract a module which includes a difference and for storing first information which shows the extracted module in the first memory area; and BIOS for copying the ROM image stored in the first memory area to the flash ROM and copying the module which the first information shows among the pieces of updated firmware stored in the first memory area to a second memory area after shut-down processing of an OS has been started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
