<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety valve that can be attached to a battery case by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: A safety valve 20 is attached to a through hole 14a formed in a battery case. The safety valve 20 comprises: a body 22; a valve 34; and urging means 36. The body 22 has an insertion portion 28 that can be inserted into the through hole 14a, and has a vent hole 30 formed therein that allows communication between inside and outside of the battery case when the insertion portion 28 is inserted in the through hole 14a. The valve 34 is movable between a closed position to close the vent hole 30 and an open position to open the valve 30. The urging means 36 urges the valve 34 from the open position toward the closed position. In a state where the insertion portion 28 of the body 22 is inserted in the through hole 14a, the battery case is sealed when the valve 34 is in the closed position, the vent hole 30 allows communication between the inside and the outside of the battery case when the valve 34 is in the open position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
