<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead alloy for a lead acid battery in which mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are secured even when using a Pb-Sn-As alloy with a reduced As density (or As-less alloy) for lead components such as a strap, an inter-cell connection, an electrode pole and the like, and to provide a lead acid battery using the same, based on the increase in attention to a work environment and surroundings of a facility of manufacturing a lead acid battery. <P>SOLUTION: In the lead alloy for a lead acid battery that contains 1.0-5.0 mass% Sn, the lead alloy for a lead acid battery that contains at most 0.095 mass% As and 0.001-0.5 mass% B is used for a strap, inter-cell connection body, electrode pole or the like, thus obtaining the lead acid battery with excellent durability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
