<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability of putting a power generating element and a current collecting connector together, and prevent the power generating element and the current collecting connector from coming off or breaking. <P>SOLUTION: A battery comprises a power generating element 1 comprising a positive electrode 1a and a negative electrode 1b as electrode substrates each projecting from the end face, and a current collecting connector 2 to which the positive electrode 1a and the negative electrode 1b as the electrode substrates are connected.
