<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detecting the fluid volume in a head tank and increasing the fluid volume which is stored in the head tank. <P>SOLUTION: A film-like member 202 constituting one surface of the head tank 200 is formed in a laminate structure with three layers or more. An aluminum layer 22 as a flexible metal member is used as an intermediate layer and is divided into two. The aluminum layers are separated from each other or are provided with an insulating layer between them and are electrically insulated from each other. Two parts of the aluminum layers are exposed from the inside of the head tank 200. The exposed parts 244a and 244b of the aluminum layers are used as detection terminals. A predetermined voltage is applied between the detection terminals of the exposed parts 244a and 244b of the aluminum layers. The electrical resistance value between the terminals is measured and the fluid volume of a liquid in the head tank 200 is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
