<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform communication between a computer and a programmable logic controller even when an IP address is not set or is erroneously set. <P>SOLUTION: A computer 200 includes an address setting function 210, a request function 230, and a receiving function 240. The address setting function 210 sets a link local address separately from an IP address. The request function 230 requests a plurality of programmable logic controllers to transmit information including IP addresses thereof to a link local address of the computer 200.
