<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a printer capable of improving the operational efficiency by efficient printing while ensuring excellent printing, and to provide a printer driver. <P>SOLUTION: In the control method of a printer 1 where a transition to hibernation is made by performing the process of transition to hibernation including at least the capping operation of an inkjet head 17, when a print request is not received from a host computer 80 upon elapsing a predetermined print request waiting time after printing the print data received from the host computer 80 on a recording paper, the hibernation waiting time after ending the printing before starting the process of transition to hibernation is set according to an input from a control unit 81, i.e. the printer driver of the host computer 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
